1. Basic Usage
- Select one or more elements in your current view (Plan, Section, Elevation, or 3D).
- Navigate to the Penguin Tools tab or the Modify tab and click Section Box Pro.
- Choose your desired Buffer preset (e.g., 150mm for tight, 500mm for context).
- Click Apply Section Box.
- A new 3D view will be created and activated automatically, perfectly cropped to your selection.
2. Using with Linked Models
- Hover over an element inside a Revit Link (use Tab to cycle selection if needed).
- Select the linked element.
- Click Section Box Pro and Apply. The tool will calculate the correct coordinates even for nested or transformed links.
3. Batch Processing (One View Per Object)
- Select multiple elements (e.g., all Windows on Level 1).
- Open Section Box Pro.
- Toggle the Batch Processing switch to ON.
- Click Apply.
- The tool will generate a separate 3D view for each individual window, named explicitly (e.g., “3D – Window [101]”, “3D – Window [102]”).
4. Managing Visibility
- Use the Toggle Box Visibility button at the bottom of the UI to instantly hide the orange Section Box cage in your current view without opening Visibility Graphics.
